Установка гидрофизических станций онлайн мониторинга на озерах Арахлей (Забайкальский край) и Хубсугул (Монголия) (2)

ВWithin the theme-based assignments for 2023 under the major scientific project of the Russian Ministry of Natural Resources and Science, “Fundamental bases, methods, and technologies of digital monitoring and forecasting of the environmental situation in the Baikal natural territory”, LIN SB RAS, in cooperation with IPREC SB RAS (Chita) and the Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences, installed online monitoring stations of the level regime and meteorological parameters of the environment at lakes Arakhlei (Transbaikal Territory) and Khubsugul (Northern Mongolia). The installed hydrophysical stations are a new development of LIN SB RAS, corresponding to the latest achievements of science and technology at the world level. Unlike the previous versions of the stations, in addition to recording the water body level with a resolution of several millimeters, these stations measure water temperature and determine the intensity of solar radiation penetrating the water column in three spectral ranges. Besides, all stations are equipped with a unit for measuring meteorological parameters of the surface layer of the atmosphere.

The installation of water level monitoring stations at Lake Khubsugul is highly relevant to the renewed hydraulic engineering projects on the Mongolian section of the Selenga River and its tributaries.
