Expedition on board the RV “Titov” on July 06-10, 2023

The expedition was carried out within the State assignment № 0279-2021-0016 “Study of the impact of seasonal and long-term fluctuations in the level of Baikal on the biotic and abiotic compounds of the littoral zone of the lake and mixing zones of river and lake waters” (led by A.P. Fedotov) in order to study bottom sediments and benthos of the littoral zone of Southern Baikal.

During the expedition program, bottom sediments were sampled using various benthic samplers for further chemical, microbiological and biological studies. Location of sampling stations follows the sampling scheme of 1969-1971 years. It enables to trace the dynamics of changes in chemical-biological indicators of the littoral zone for the last 50 years.
